Give me a break...

I know that I have been completely delinquent in my blog posting, but forgive me. I have had a great deal going on within the past few months. First of all, I passed my Bar Exam!!! I am completely ecstatic....no more studying for me. You may officially call me esquire and by that name only. JK... I'm not that full of myself.

Second, I have a job!! I will not start till the beginning of next year, but believe me, I am not bummed. Although I did acquire the job in mid-October, I have just thought of the 2 month gap as a vacation of sorts... an unpaid vacation. At least I get to spend much of my "off" time with my sweetie. (My sweetie is a computer programmer, excuse me, engineer, who has the great fortune of working from home). I will be working as in-house counsel at an international software firm. I feel especially lucky as the firm normally does not hire first years.

Third and finally, my bf and I have a beautiful two bedroom/two bath apartment. Even with the lake-view and vaulted ceilings, the rent is about half of what we were paying in the "frigid" north that I know as Virginia. OK, Virginia isn't that cold, but compared to Florida, it is the arctic.

Well, as much as I would like to keep writing, I do have things to do. Just because I am currently "off," doesn't mean I sit on my ass all day.

Much love,
Jen

I should be studying, but...

I need a break. I know that I "should" be using every waking moment studying, but I am not a superwoman (although, occasionally, I tend to think I am).

At the moment, I am sitting on the plane, flying towards my future, literally. I will be taking the bar next week. It isn't that I am scared of failing... I just don't want to spend another two months studying. Believe it or not, I do enjoy having a life.

On a side note, my bf is awesome. He is incredibly supportive. He is willing to follow me anywhere, from Virginia back to Florida. I truly love this man! I am looking forward to spending the rest of my life with him.

Much love,
Jen

Sitting In A Movie Theater

So, it is close to midnight and I am sitting in the theater waiting for Dark Knight to start. I've been looking forward to this movie for awhile. Kevin keeps asserting that superman is cooler than batman... So, what do you think? Do we need to put a cap in his ass? LOL.

So, there are some characters up in this joint (and no, they are not up in my grill). Some people are wearing batman shirts, others dressed like joker and yet another dressed like superman. Go figure.

Well, much love till next time. Peace out Mofos. Sorry, I'm in a weird mood.

Starting Anew

I decided to completely forgo my previous blog and begin this one anew. I realized that my other blog was far too depressing, which just isn't me. As "many" of you may know, I am a recent law school graduate who will be sitting for the Florida bar in a little under two weeks. Although I am not enthusiastic about being subjected to a two-day (6 hour per day) test, I am looking forward to seeing my family and enjoying the beautiful beaches Naples has to offer. Also, I will be going on a little family vacay to visit the fine Midwestern states of Michigan, Ohio, and Illinois.

Why leave the seaside tropical drink fest, you may ask? To spend time with my family. It has been a while since we've gone on a trip together. We usually try to go abroad, but my mom and dad have already had their fair share this year and thus, have decided to stay stateside.

This blog will be a "daily" (the term "daily" will vary in accord with the nature of my schedule) recap of my life's events (albeit, most of them mundane). The topics will range from my travels to my ongoing search for a job to my progress on knitting projects. I will also include tidbits here and there regarding my wonderful boyfriend, to whom I am completely devoted (as of July 10th, my boyfriend and I have been together for 3 years and 7 months). He is, by far, the sexiest programmer in the world. I may get mushy from time to time when I talk about my love for my family and my friends (particularly my two best friends whom you can determine by looking at the girlsof121 blog). Well, it is getting late...a girl does need here beauty rest.
